Day 21: Flying home from Madrid

Early arrival in Madrid (from Santiago)
and then back home via Heathrow.
Thursday 21st March 2024
After a peaceful overnight flight, we arrived in Madrid very early in the morning. It was even to early to go into the airport lounge, which we were finally able to do at 6:00am. By 8:30am, we had taken off on the final leg to Heathrow.
 
Soon after take off from Madrid.
 
A somewhat unusual routing took us east and then north over the Pyrenees and France.
 
 
 
Isle of Wight.
 
 
Portsmouth.
 
 
Amazingly clear views of London as we approached Heathrow.
 
Thames Barrier.
