Day 11: Puerto Natales

Geoff explores the town of Puerto
Natales
while Bruce is on the tour to the Torres del Paine
National Park.

Geoff had a slower start
to his day compared with Bruce, who had left the ship very
early for his full day tour. After a leisurely breakfast,
he took one of the zodiac shuttles over to the town, where
he enjoyed some independent exploration. |

Back on the ship after
his visit, he felt quite satisfied that he had even managed
to buy some toothpaste in a local shop, given that he couldn't
speak any Spanish and had no Chilean pesos. The credit card
worked fine, however. The ship was due to remain at anchor
here overnight, which was probably a good thing, because
Bruce and the rest of the group were only due to return
quite late. |
