And suddenly it was our
last full day! What happened to the time? We mooched around
the City, first taking some photos of the hotel and its
surroundings... |

|
|
...before moving on to
the new Library building. Apparently the architect says
it is NOT based on the Colisseum.... |
|
|
|
We then took a trolleybus to the Queen Elizabeth
Park gardens. |
|
|
|
As you can see, like the Butchart Gardens, they
are very colourful. |

We than walked (in the 35°C heat) to the
Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. These were stunning, and we enjoyed
them very much. The volunteers were very friendly and informative,
too! |

|
We then made our way back
towards Granville Island to get to the Vancouver Museum.
As we stood at a street corner with our map, as usual someone
came over to help us (I like the Vancouverans!), but this
lady took hospitality a further step - she gave us lift
in her car to the museum steps! Thank you, Christine, and
if by any chance you ever read this, do get in touch! |

We finished off the day with an excellent meal
at the CinCin Restaurant, dining on the upstairs patio overlooking
bustling Robson Street, which is the main shopping street
in the city. |
