After visiting Lake Louise
and Moraine Lake, we left the Trans-Canada Highway and travelled
north along the Icefields Parkway, a road which passes through
remote, high-altitude terrain. We drove for about 40km until
we came to the Bow Pass and Peyto Lake Viewpoint. The scenery
was stunning! |

Driving back south again,
we stopped to admire Bow Lake, with its amazing mountainous
backdrop |

Nearby, the Crowfoot Glacier,
so-called because of its three "toes", although
some imagination is needed here. The lower toe has disappeared
completely and the middle toe is disappearing too. |

... and yes, yet more wild flowers growing along
the roadside. |
