A full day exploring
Strasbourg independently.

We started the day with
breakfast at the charming "Salon de The - Patisserie"
on Grand Rue. Although we only had coffee and croissants,
we had to admire the gorgeous looking treats on offer and
resolved to come back at some point before we left to sample
them... which we did! |
|
|

Armed with a tourist
map, given to us by the staff at the hotel, we set off to
explore the city, somewhat randomly. |
|

We made a reservation
to dine here this evening. |

We chanced upon this
market and found it very interesting. It was just as well
we saw it today, because it wasn't there again during our
stay. |

We couldn't walk past
a Lindt shop without making a small purchase! |

this time of some local wine, after sampling it and taking
advice from a helpful man in the wine shop. |

Returning to the Salon
de The where we had our breakfast, we shared an enormous
slice of their chocolate cake plus extras... it was delicious! |

Setting off in the late
afternoon for a stroll in the direction of the restaurant
where we had booked our evening meal, the sun came out and
we got some lovely views. |
|

It all looked colourful
and appetising and we enjoyed it very much. |
|

|
| |
|
| |
Aftwewards, a leisurely
stroll back to our hotel. It had turned quite chilly and
we were glad to have worn our warm jackets. |
|
|
