Day 11: At Sea
A full day sailing from Halifax
to
(Portland, Maine, USA)
Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
After our busy day yesterday,
followed by last night's shock announcement that our ship
had been denied entry into the United States, today was
a slight anti-climax and the programme of events on board
went ahead as originally planned. The only difference was
that instead of spending the day sailing towards Portland,
Maine, USA, we were sailing towards Saint John, New Brunswick,
Canada. |
We didn't take many
photos, but we did enjoy our day of complete relaxation,
including the special afternoon tea and cake feast. |
Another gorgeous sunset.
By now we were sailing in the Bay
Of Fundy, which boasts the highest tidal range in the
world. We would hear more about that tomorrow. |
It was to be our last
night on board because of the change in arrangements, so
the Gala Dinner had to be brought forward by a day. We enjoyed
it immensely. |
The dinner concluded
with an array of cheeses and ports, the likes of which we
had never seen before! |
