A sunny and warm welcome to Kanazawa.
|
(We needed
a nice welcome. We had been buffeted about in the wind and high
swell overnight!) |

Morning
excursion to the lovely Kenroku-en Garden. We visited it in 2005
and remembered it well. |

After
lunch, we went to the Higashi Geisha district.
Geoff bought a red lacquer bowl there last time and was looking
for something similar.
Sadly, the shop was no longer there. |

Returning
to the ship, we were treated to an amazing sail away ceremony,
which was one of the highlights of the holiday. |

No sooner
had we left the port than we felt the effect of the wind again.
We braced ourselves for another difficult night! |

The pages from this holiday
are not yet complete. Hopefully this sample will give some
idea of our experiences.
