I love zodiacs. Being
close to the water, combined with the wind and the speed, is exhilirating! |
|
|
|
|
That's me on the
right. Even I had to look twice before I could confirm that! |
|
|
We were going to walk
to the farmhouse in the distance for tea and cake, from
where we would return to the ship from the local beach.
Firstly, however, we were going to walk across an isthmus
to another beach to see penguins and other wildlife. |

|
Like Steeple Jason,
this island look pristine and very beautiful, but unlike SJ, a few
people do live here. |

Looking back as we walked
towards the farmhouse, we could see the place where we landed
on the right and the beach we walked across to, on the left. |

It was really good
to stretch our legs, but we were looking forward to tea and cake! |

Taken from a drone
(which can be used in the Falklands, but nowhere else on our trip) |

Tea and cake with
the expedition team and local caterers. It was well worth the hike! |

After a lovely morning,
it was time to return to the ship for lunch. |

Unfortunately, a
sore throat was bothering me, so I didn't do the afternoon trip,
but at least I have some photos to see what I missed! |
