After a week of relaxing
on the ship, we were ready for the next and final chapter
of our travels. First, however, we needed to make the
260km road trip from Kampong Cham, where we had docked
this morning, to Siem Reap.
Relaxing on the sun deck
as we prepare to disembark for the last time.

The staff all assembled
to say goodbye. |

|
This time, we were
on the same coach as the rest of the passengers. No private car
to drive us this time! |
|
We stopped twice
on the long drive to Siem Reap. |

Who knew they are a cactus? |

Five hours after disembarking,
we arrived at the forecourt of the Victoria Hotel in Siem
Reap. We were met there by our guide, Buntha and his driver.
Our luggage was soon transferred from the coach to the car
and within 10 minutes or so, we had been delivered to our
hotel. |

After unpacking, we decided
to explore the town. We could have walked there, but a tuk
tuk, parked just outside the entrance to the hotel, looked
too inviting to resist, especially as it was very hot and
it only costs 2 US dollars for any trip around the town!
Our driver was very keen to bring us back afterwards, so
we agreed a time and a meeting point and went off to explore
the markets.
Our tuk tuk man waiting for
us at the Old Market, Siem Riep. |

We needed to have an
early night, especially given that Buntha was due to pick
us up at 5:15 a.m. tomorrow morning! |
