At leisure in Lucca -
Day 3

|
Our luck with the weather
ran out today. It rained for most of the day, but we took
our umbrellas and did a bit of walking anyway. Well we had
to work up an appetite, after all! |

We were forced to
have our morning coffee inside our favourite little restaurant. |

Later, we had lunch
at another restaurant, on the other side of the town, which was
very pleasant. |

|
| |
In the evening, as if
we hadn't had enough to eat and drink today, we enjoyed
an excellent last meal back at the place we had visited
several times. By now, the staff knew us and greeted us
by name. At the end of the meal, we were offered more free
drinks and an extra bottle of wine to take with us on our
journey to Rome the next day. We almost felt like one of
the family! |
