We arrived in Udaipur, the Lake
City, early in the morning and were due to have breakfast
at a hotel, rather than on the train. Unfortunately
Geoff needed to stay close to the loo (oh yes, the
dreaded "Delhi belly" had struck) and so
he wasn't going anywhere! Bruce, on the other hand
felt fine and Geoff insisted that he go with the others,
while he stayed aboard the train and got nursed by
Sid!

Meanwhile, Geoff had recovered sufficiently to
leave the
train and to rejoin the group, escorted by Sid in
a little taxi

Today was the best day
so far. The sun had shone warmly and we really enjoyed seeing
the sights. Despite Geoff not feeling well early on, he
seemed to have made a good recovery and we were both very
pleased that he hadn't missed the best part of the day.
We returned to the train at 3.30 p.m. and had dinner on
board later, as we made the long journey (18 hours) to Jaisalmer. |
