| On Sunday, we drove the 100kms to the Vaal Dam
(reservoir), where Bruce's other sister, Linda, and her family
live. Her husband, Jimmy, prepared a lovely lunch for the
large family gathering. |

| Jimmy cooked the meal (oxtail stew with a dumpling
topping) in a potjie (pronounced "poy-kee") placed
in a charcoal pit. Simmering slowly for several hours, it
was delicious. |

After lunch, Jimmy took
us out for a boat trip on the dam. |

The sunset was beautiful
and gave some good photo opportunities. |

We stayed at the dam for
two nights, returning to Benoni on Tuesday. |
