We flew from London to
Johannesburg on Friday 13th April (!) It was a good flight
with BA (we slept quite well on the flat beds), and we landed
punctually on Saturday morning. We hired a car and drove
the few kilometers to Benoni, where we stayed for two nights
with Bruce's sister Jackie. |
Jackie's house - but no
more: she moved a week after we left (her 39th house...!) |

Like many houses in this
part of South Africa, Jackie's estate is fenced and barred,
and you need to get through the guards to get in. |

We spent the time in Benoni visiting
family, in particular, meeting 5 month old Ryder,
Kelly's first baby.
Bruce is a great-uncle! |

On Saturday night, Bruce's
brother Des and his wife Jenny worked hard to give us all
a splendid braai. |
