We awoke to find ourselves
docked in the port of Cadiz. The overnight voyage from Seville,
sailing mostly along the Guadalquivir river, had been very
smooth. Whilst most of our fellow travellers chose to take
the morning tour to Jerez de la Frontera, followed in the
afternoon by a guided walk through the town, we had done
both five years previously and we were therefore quite happy
to do our own thing. We remembered from last time that the
old town was a charming place and were very happy with our
decision to explore it once again. |

We particularly
remembered the food market from our last visit and found it again
quite easily. |

Of course, we remembered
our first taste of churros and chocolate from our last visit
and were keen to repeat the experience! |

We decided
to sample some of the local tapas, so we found a restaurant with
a view of the market... |
|
|
... and
then ordered two dishes along with a glass of wine each. We didn't
want to spoil our lunch! |
|
|
After
a full morning of strolling, we went back to the ship for lunch
and a rest. |
|
|
Later,
we went off again for a second time and headed in a different direction. |

|
|
We couldn't
get over how lucky we had been so far with the weather.
Late in the evening we sailed towards our next port of call, Algeceris. |
