We had remained in Seville
overnight. The timings for today's excursion were similar
to yesterday. A morning tour, with a late lunch back on
the ship and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. En-route
to Carmona, which is about 40km from Seville, we stopped
at an olive farm for an interesting talk and tasting session.
Carmona itself was a surprise, mainly because we had never
heard of it! Set on a ridge, it is a picturesque town which
was once an important Roman city.
In the afternoon, we had quite a long walk by ourselves
along the river and into the city centre. |

The extra-virgin
olive oil was excellent, although it caught Bruce unawares by its
strength.
There was quite a lot of coughing! |

A short
drive from the olive farm and we were in the town of Carmona. |

Carmona,
as seen from the coach as we left to return to Seville. |

After
another late lunch on board ship, we set off again by ourselves
to see some more of the city of Seville. |

we were getting into the feasting habit! |

Another
interesting day with more fine weather. We hadn't expected that. |
