On Thursday, Craig took
us to the East of the city and we explored the bays, inlets,
cliffs and beaches, including (of course!) Bondi. It was
amazing to think that a city can be so close to the sea!
We had lunch in a famous seafood restaurant, Doyle’s,
and discovered Sydney has good fish too.

The next day, Peter took
us to Sydney Zoo (despite having been in Australia for days,
we had not seen one koala or kangaroo) It was great. We
saw the kangroos, emus, dingoes (no jokes about babies,
please), echidna, koalas, platypuses (platypi?) and wombats.
We liked the latter the best - all sleeping and snoring
on their backs. That evening we went to the Sydney Opera
House to see "The Cunning Little Vixen". It was
excellent. |
