We left home at
midday and got to the airport at 12:30 - three hours
before departure! The BA 747 was cramped and the
food poor, including cheap, warm, white wine. Time
for a stern letter, I think. It was not BA's fault
that the flight was bumpy, and neither of us slept
on the 11 hour journey, but at least, as we were
flying East, the night was short. Bruce had the
middle seat, which meant he could not see out of
the window, unless he leant over the man in the
window seat. This was not desirable as his fellow-traveller's
presence was making itself known olfactorily even
when Bruce leant away from him (as he did during
most of the flight). |
