Bellagio was a busy little town with shops and restaurants on its steep streets. There was also the famous Villa Serbelloni, which has fantastic views down both arms of Lake Como.

We had an excellent lunch at the Ristorante Barchetta, followed by a late afternoon walk through the gardens of the Villa Melzi (below)
