On Thursday, Michael and Kim took us to stay overnight
in a hotel in Ras al Khaymah, another of the emirates.

 

As we left Dubai, we passed the camel racing area.

Looking back we got a fantastic view of the old and the new.

We got to the hotel in under two hours, passing through the tiny emirate of Sharjah
to do so. The hotel, Al Hamra Fort, was wonderful, and our room was right on the beach.

Despite being mid-December, it was in the low 30's and
Geoff was quickly into his shorts and beachcombing.
