Another cruise cancelled, but not, this time, as a result of the pandemic. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia early this year resulted in changes to the schedules for the ship we were going to sail on. It had been due to sail into Russian waters after completing our cruise and to avoid that, the ship's owners made the decision to cancel the cruising schedule for the entire region this year.

We had also planned to spend a few days on Vancouver Island before the cruise with our friends Heather and Lyle, who live in Winnipeg. Sadly, this had to be cancelled too.
